Strike smart.

Built specifically for Australian conditions, the Atomic Squid Jig is a slim-profile jig designed to dominate both shallow and deepwater squiding. Available in sizes 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, its hydrodynamic shape cuts through current with ease, allowing for effective presentations in fast or slow water.

The extensive UV and glow colour range was developed in collaboration with Aussie anglers and inspired by hand-drawn patterns to suit local environments. Extensively tested by Salt Guide and regional experts, the Atomic Squid Jig delivers proven results and exceptional hookup rates across southern waters.

WILL CATCH
squid
WHEN TO TIE ONE ON
Around weed beds, rocky drop -offs, or sandy patches. At dawn or dusk or under lights at night.
HOW TO USE
• Use a light Egi rod paired with 0.6-1.0PE braid with a fluorocarbon leader
• Cast long and let the jig sink to the strike zone
• Work the jig with 1–2 sharp upward rod lifts, then pause and allow it to sink—this is when squid usually strike.
• Vary your retrieve speed and jigging action depending on conditions.
• In clear water, opt for natural colours. In low light or dirty water, try UV or bright colours.
THINK OUTSIDE THE SQUARE
•Try hovering the jig mid-water when squid are shy slow lifts and long pauses.
• Don’t be afraid to change jig size or colour regularly until you find what works.
