We’re Dan and Jake – two fishing-mad brothers who decided the only thing better than fishing... was building a whole damn business around it.

Taco Tackle started from scratch. No franchise, no pre-purchased blueprint – just a shed full of gear, way too many late nights, and a dream fuelled by caffeine and tackle talk. It’s taken us years of blood, sweat, and tangled leader knots to get here – but here we are, running an independent tackle store that’s all about epic gear and even better service.

We do it all – saltwater, freshwater, big fish, little fish, and everything in between. If it swims and it can be caught, we want to help you catch it (and brag about it later).

The name? Long story short: “Taco Tackle” was a throwaway joke during a name brainstorm. We laughed. Then circled back. Because while the other names felt like every other tackle shop on earth, this one felt fun. And that’s the whole point. Fishing is supposed to be a good time – and so is shopping for tackle and planning your next adventure!

It also gave us a cheeky way to name our bundle deals: “Tacos.” Need a pre-packed selection of gear that is tailored to your target species or destination? Grab one of our Tacos, not just a bunch of slow moving stock, but highly sought after and proven products assembled into a bundle to save you time and money so you can spend more time perfecting your FG knots.

At the end of the day, we’re just two blokes who love fishing, love gear, and love helping other fishos get amongst it.
